Alexandria Engberg, LE
I’m Alex Engberg, a licensed esthetician dedicated to helping clients become the most confident versions of themselves. Originally from Nebraska, I attended the Capital School of Esthetics in Omaha. With a deep passion for skincare, I specialize in clearing acne and acne scars, performing rejuvenating anti-aging treatments, and providing relaxing facials that offer an hour of pure tranquility.
I’ve always dreamed of creating a unique space to truly make a difference in people’s lives. Now, with Face First Aesthetics and Acne Clinic, I have the freedom to do just that, combining professional expertise with my drive to educate on the best tips and tricks. Each treatment is designed to enhance natural beauty and well-being, leaving clients feeling pampered and beautiful.
My commitment to excellence and personalized care ensures that every client experiences transformative results and leaves with a renewed sense of confidence. I take immense pride in saying that this is a results-driven practice, and we have the science to back it up.
Halyn Blackburn, RN
I’m Halyn Blackburn, RN, bringing seven years of nursing experience primarily focused on aesthetics, with additional experience in med-surg and oncology nursing. Currently, I’m a nurse practitioner student, graduating next year, furthering my education to gain more autonomy and advance my career. I am committed to continuous learning and enjoy traveling to train with the greatest injectors in the industry, ensuring I am at the forefront of the latest techniques and innovations.
I have specialized training in facial balancing and biostimulators such as Radiesse and Sculptra. My goal is to deliver natural-appearing aesthetic results that empower my patients to feel confident. My consultations with clients focus on the face, neck, and chest, and I also have experience in body injections for skin tightening. I strive to provide each client with a comprehensive, personalized treatment plan tailored to their needs. My services include treatments for anti-aging, skin tightening, hair restoration, and IV vitamin hydration.
Jess Fisher, PAC
I’ve been a PA for 19 years now. In my career, I’ve always sought dependable ways to help people. From my experience in internal medicine and family practice I know how to treat the whole person. The mind, body and spirit connection is clear to me. I bring 9 years of experience in aesthetic medicine. I’ve curated a set of skills with injectables and lasers that I’m happy to share. When you sit with me I’ll make sure that my careful attention to detail produces the most natural results. Also, I’m exploring the benefits of supplementation and body detox for longevity and wellness. I am so blessed to be part of the Face First Aesthetics team and welcome you to visit us!
Jordan Gallimore
Hi, my name is Jordan Gallimore! I was born and raised in Wilmington, NC, and recently graduated from the Esthetics program at Cape Fear Community College. My passion for skincare grew while working at the front desk here at Face First Aesthetics, where I loved connecting with clients and witnessing firsthand the impact of great skincare and treatments.
It’s so exciting to transition from welcoming clients to now being the one behind the treatment room door. This is something I’m truly passionate about, and I’m so excited to continue growing while delivering personalized treatments, while growing and expanding the services available at Face First Aesthetics.

Ellie Wampler
I’m Ellie Wampler a licensed esthetician, skincare educator and lover of all things wellness.
I am from Raleigh, NC and have lived in Wilmington since 2023. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2018 with majors in Strategic Communications and Entrepreneurship, and just recently from Cape Fear Community College for Esthetics Technology.
I have worked in corporate sales and skincare education at L’Orèal since 2019 and decided to take my love of beauty to the next level by getting my license. I am passionate about educating on the importance of consistent skincare, skin treatments and services, ultimately helping people feel more confident in their skin.
In the treatment room I want your time to be relaxing, fun, insightful and a reprieve from the craziness of daily life.
Anna Elmenhurst
Hi, I’m Anna! After moving from Washington to Wilmington in search of sunshine, salty air, and beach-town living, I discovered a passion for aesthetics through my own skincare journey with Alex.
I absolutely love being part of the team at Face First and getting to work in such a positive, client-focused environment. My goal is to attend esthetics school this year, and I can’t wait to continue growing in the industry and eventually meet you all in the treatment room!
Dr. James Loging, MD, MBA, FAAOS
Dr. James Loging is the Owner and Medical Director for Palmetto Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetics and the Glō Skin Bar and Medical Spa and is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has completed extensive training in medical aesthetics and a fellowship in cosmetic surgery and has been invloved in aesthetic medicine for over 10 years. Dr. Loging is your go to provider for all Botox and dermal filler injections, laser treatments, and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Loging’s approach to treatments ensures you the best result possible.
Over the past few years, Dr. Loging has received numerous awards recognizing his dedication to outstanding patient care, including America’s Most Honored Doctors, Compassionate Doctor Recognition, and the Patients’ Choice Award.
A native of Newberry county and a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School, he earned his bachelor’s degree with honors, as well as a Masters of Business Administration, from the University of South Carolina. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.
He enjoys spending time with his family, running, competing in triathlons, wake surfing on the lake, scuba diving, and photography.

Chris Farmer, ANP
Chris has 18 years of experience in orthopedic and interventional pain management. Chris has worked with Eastern Regional Pain Specialists in Goldsboro, OrthoWilmington, and Pleasure Island Health, and earned his MSN from East Carolina University.
He brings a compassionate, expert approach to non-surgical joint care and options designed to support comfort, mobility, and function without downtime.
